At the urging of party leaders, political activists across the country gathered to eat num banh chok on Sunday, June 9.

The cold Khmer noodle has become a political symbol since members of the dissolved Cambodia National Rescue Party were summoned to court for gathering at a former colleague’s num banh chok restaurant in Battambang.

VOD’s Saut Sok Prathna reports from the western city on the hopes for political progress being placed on the traditional noodle dish.
